Dream Theater is a name with some prestige, -well, huge prestige-, and thus a very reviewed and criticized band. However, beyond virtuosity, is made by human beings, and that is all.
IMPELLITTERI „Wicked Maiden”
Only a long-time fan or guitar aficionado would really embrace this comeback, because Impellitteris namesakeguitar wunderkind Chris Impelitteriis in top form throughout Wicked Maiden. His rhythm playing alone is light years ahead of todays top shredders. But the band has never been a one-man show case (no matter how much the musical evidence suggests the contrary), thus explaining the presence of Christian metals loudest voice (literally), Rob Rock, who pulls no stops anywhere on the album.

LAMB OF GOD „Wrath”
Exuding a little class in its first few minutes of music, The Passing excites the listeners expectations with a short guitar-driven instrumental thats nurturing and mournful all at the same time. Once it ends, Lamb of God lay on the grimness to deliver the pummeling In Your Words. Full of angry hollers and muscular guitars, the songs progression makes it clear that these Virginians arent departing from their signature sound any time soon.
