EAT THE LIVING „Eat The Living”
This is a four song demo from a California screamo band called Eat The Living. It's hardcore with harsh screaming female vocals.
SINCEBYMAN „Pictures From The Hotel Apocalypse”
Cool Songs: Emergency and Me, Quid Pro Quo Motherfucker, Photographer Ex Post Facto
.
WITH HONOR „This is Our Revenge”
Im at a bit of a loss with this new With Honor disc. Throw me some classic Victory records hardcore and Im happy as pig in shit, but when the same said label signs a band so utterly generic and commercially pop-punk friendly as this Connecticut four piece, it really disappoints.
AIDEN „Nightmare Anatomy”
The Victory records roster continues to perplex the life out of me theyve got world beating, fry your brains material from Between the Buried and Me and Darkest Hour, but as far as their foray into the commercial pop punk field with stuff like The Audition, Bayside and Junior Varsity, it just isnt doing it for me. And then they go and sign Seattles Aiden.
LIFE IN PICTURES „By The Sign Of The Spyglass”
Its hard not to draw the cynical bow at the current glut of Metalcore acts that are sprouting like weeds from every corner of the globe. Im a fan of the style, but just like every other genre of heavy music, there comes a time when a certain sound can start to spread itself rather thin.
BANNER, THE „Each Breath Haunted”
Cool Songs: Devil Hawks, Mudweller, I am Legend, Ill be Happy when youre Fucking Dead
.
MADBALL „Legacy”
Cool Songs: Adapt and Overcome, Heavenhell, The Crown, Behind These Walls, Darkest Days, Damned, For My Enemies
.
ALLEGIANCE „Overlooked”
Having just recovered from the most impressive debut album from Canadas Go It Alone, up and coming hardcore label Rivalry Records follow it up with an even more confronting slice of metallic bludgeoning in the form of San Franciscos Allegiance. Overlooked is the name of this new 12 track affair and it fairly well blazes a trail right through your skull in very quick time.
SUICIDE MACHINES „War Profiteering Is Killing Us All”
Cool Songs: War profiteering is Killing us all, 17% 18 to 25, All Systems Fail, The Red Flag.
.
SILVERSTEIN „Discovering The Waterfront”
Just like any other style of heavy, guitar drive music, the emo/hardcore scene also has its bottomless well. Theres the impressive (Eighteen Visions, Anberlin), the ordinary (Hopesfall, Roses are Red) and the countless others that fall somewhere in the middle.
BARS „Introducing ”
Cool songs: Bright Lights For Demise, Like it never Was, Too Far Down, This is it.
.
MINDSNARE „The Death”
As a straight up Metal head who was raised on classic the Metal of the eighties I shouldnt like Hardcore. However, past involvement in the music industry through radio and writing has given me exposure to the whole genre of heavy music Hardcore included.
TERROR „One with the Underdogs”
There are those in the Hardcore scene that truly rate Terrors debut album Lowest of the Low as one of the most aggressive records ever. A big call that.
