MORTAR – Wywiad z Jurasem
SEAR BLISS – Interview with Trombone Player Zoltán Pál
The Arcane Odyssey by SEAR BLISS seems tailor-made for fans of symphonic black metal. Not only did the band adhere to the conventions of black metal such as grim vocals for a grim guitar sound, a raw (although clear) production and blasting drumbeats, they also included uncommon instrumentation. On The Arcane Odyssey, one will hear various brass instruments such as trombone, trumpet and euphonium. This is no high school band nerd album, though; the group designed a sound that is grandiose and epic. Equally if not more important, they managed to separate their group from the millions of Casio-keyboard black metal bands. The Arcane Odyssey is a perfect mix of beautiful harmonies, triumphant brass orchestration and scathing black metal.
These Huns have been creating music of this scale since the early nineties, but due to small-label distribution, were never able to reach a massive scope of fans until now. This being their sixth release should find a much broader audience due to the wide-ranging distribution of Candlelight Records. Trombone player (I never thought I would say trombone and black metal in the same sentence) Zoltán Pál answered a few questions via email about this labyrinthine group.
VIRGIN SNATCH – Wywiad z Zielonym
VIRGIN SNATCH to zespół, który stosunkowo w krótkim czasie zdobył sobie sympatię fanów ekstremalnego grania. Ich trzeci album “In The Name Of Blood” pokazał, iż w tej kapeli drzemie ogromny potencjał twórczy i wyniósł ją na wyżyny rodzimej sceny. Od premiery tego wydawnictwa minęło już sporo czasu i niebawem można się będzie spodziewać następcy “In The Name Of Blood”, jednak nie przeszkodziło mi to w zadaniu kilku pytań Zielonemu – wokaliście VIRGIN SNATCH.
DIVINE HERESY – Interview with Dino Cazares
Any metal head who paid any mind the scene of the last two decades knows the name Dino Cazares. Cazares gave FEAR FACTORY their chunky guitar sound in the 90s and early part of this decade. He also played guitar in the Mexican drug cartel concept band, BRUJERIA. Dino left FEAR FACTORY, a group he co-founded, after the release of their worst albumthe horridly nu metal, Digimortal. Shortly after his departure from FF, he formed the death/grind project, ASESINO. The said group was a step up in heaviness from his former band. ASESINOs was also a return to this Hispanic roots, penning all songs in Spanish. Perhaps it was due to the non-English lyrics, lack of big label or just the fact their music is too heavy for his former fans, whether a result of all these factors or just one, ASESINO never found the wide-spread appeal of his former outfit.
Recently, Cazares released Bleed the Fifth from his newest incarnation known as DIVINE HERESY. Bleed the Fifth finds the perfect balance of melody and brutality, promising to lure back a strong fan base and find acceptance as one of the top albums of 2007. Vocalist Tommy Vext shifts his voice into many styles, screaming his voice box out or singing with an impassioned, clean-toned eloquence. Drummer Tim Yeung is no newcomer to the scene. He hit the skins for such celebrated death metal acts as VITAL REMAINS, NILE and HATE ETERNAL. The last two years he has earned the title as The Worlds Fasted Drummer, having won the contest in 2006 and this year.
After only a couple months since their first studio release, DIVINE HERESY has already joined a major tour with 3 INCHES OF BLOOD, SHADOWS FALL and the headliner, STATIC-X. Although singer Vext recently injured his foot and requires crutches, the determined front man hobbles around the stage, never disappointing their fans with an injury-related cancellation. Before hitting the stage in Dallas, Texas, Cazares and newly acquired bassist Joe Payne (ex-NILE) set aside a few minutes to speak with Metal Centre.
FORECAST – Wywiad z Legionem
BEHEMOTH – Interview with Bassist Orion
Polands BEHEMOTH started their career playing black metal in the early 90s. The groups early recordings were premiere raw, atmospheric black metal albums, earning the group a strong cult following. 1996s Grom showed the group beginning to experiment with death metal. 1999's “Satanica,” saw the group shed their early necro black metal style for a full-on death metal sound in the tradition of satanic death metal bands like DEICIDE and MORBID ANGEL. This sound was the beginning of what we now know as BEHEMOTH. The group refined this style with each ensuing album before arriving at a sound that is uniquely of their own. With each album came more success and tours that brought the band more exposure. 2007 has proved to be the groups most crucial year. Touring Ozzfest brought the group before the largest audiences of any previous tours. They also released their most lucrative album of their career, The Apostasy on Century Media Records. Currently, BEHEMOTH is touring the States as a co-headliner with JOB FOR A COWBOY with GOJIRA and BENEATH THE MASSACRE opening. Metal Centre caught up with BEHEMOTH bassist, Orion during their concert in San Antonio at the White Rabbit.
GRIMLORD – Wywiad z Barthem
Ostatni album “The Indenpendence Of Observation Choice” potwierdził poraz kolejny wysoką formę ekipy Bleyzabela, który (czasem w dość protekcjonalny sposób) udzielił mi odpowiedzi na te kilka pytań. Zapraszam.

UNDERDARK – Wywiad z Drizztem
CENTURIONS GHOST – Interview with Rich
Londons CENTURIONS GHOST have gone from strength to strength. They have been bringing us heavy, crushing metal for almost five years now. The band mixes elements of doom, black and death to devastating effect. The band has spent the last year touring America and Europe and has just played a support slot for CANDLEMASS. Rich from the band was kind enough to answer some questions for metal centre.
