Many years have passed since the last album. However, as the musicians announced a few years ago in the interview (www.metalcentre.pl), the second album is also conceptual “but unlike the debut, compositions do not form a chronological story, but are “novellas” connected by common ground. Each track describes one of the characters – the titled “faces” are the ghosts of the past and memories, which are connected by the fact that they exerted a great influence on Chaos Engine Research members.”…

In addition, there was a cosmetic change in the line-up and keeping of the contract with the Ukrainian Metal Scrap Records label.

And musically? It’s still powerful, maybe even more, also more aggressive. It’s still Groove Metal, with that characteristic lively and dynamic feeling, typical for PANTERA, SEPULTURA or MACHINE HEAD, but with a strong contemporary breath, with lowered guitar tuning and, for example, in the style of Djent or Mathcore riffing or clear Modern Death Metal creating riff structures, which in places reminds me quite strongly of GOJIRA…

And the overwhelming darkness, often expressed in guitar accents or solos, and even in slowing passages and arpeggios with distorted guitar sound.

The rhythm section is very mathematical, often complex, sometimes very complicated and always very powerful, regardless of the pace.

The vocals without redundant ado, but with growling and screaming, balancing the timbres between Death Metal and Deathcore, and even Black Metal. However, despite their colors, they are clear and the lyrics are quite understandable.

The atmosphere is quite crowded and crushing, it is very atmospheric at times, but always dark.
