M.I.C. - "Out 2 Rock"
Two Side Moon & SLW Promotions 2009

Music: Melodic Hard Rock
Website: www.myspace.com/madeinchine
Duration: 54:50 minutes (15 songs)
Country: China

The information added to the promo disc propagates that the multi-national team of M.I.C. returned with new line-up and with new strength. The band was created by the musicians from China, Japan, United State and Canada. Moreover, supposedly the accomplishments of M.I.C. are well-known in China…. However the disc reached to me thanks to co-operation with label Two Side Moon & SLW Promotions.

Maybe the information causes that M.I.C. seems to be interesting band but however the music from the disc disappointed me. I looked forward "something" more by such international line-up. Of course the album "Out 2 Rock" is the mixture of different sorts of rock music from Hard Rock, Pop Rock Punk Rock but however "something" lacks me in this music. Maybe the songs are too little ambitious, sometimes are too idyllic and without deeper burst of passions.

Generally the arrangements causes impression to be pretty easy in perception. The compositions usually are very melodious, sometimes balladic and they were settled in stanzas and refrains as well as leitmotivs. Sometimes stronger hard-rock riffs and hits or rock'n'roll rhythms appear in the music, in style of such melodious pieces with claw, with quarrelsome solos and with more expressive vocals. In certain moments the musicians more show their skills and they play pretty damn good, although without exaggeration. The whole is lightly melancholy as well as also gently predatory (hahaha…). The subject area and the mood associate with the bands from 70th years. In moments It seem that I sometimes heard the influences from the beginnings of career such bands like ALICE COOPER, BLACK SABBATH (eg. from "Never Say Die"), MOTORHEAD (eg. from "On Parole") or DEF LEPPARD. The information added to the promo disc propagates that the multi-national team of M.I.C. returned with new line-up and with new strength.
