TWILIGHT is a Spanish metal formation that tries to connect their bombastic, but never too full, epic power metal with folk music.
The intro „Dawn of the victors“ sounds like a soundtrack and reminds me on „The Lord of the Rings“ music. But no! The band does not go on like that. “Forgotten heroes” is a fast track. In time, it is outstanding to hear the powerfull voice of singer Fran, who has got a wonderful significant timbre! Good and impressing start!
It is difficult to play extraordinary metal nowadays and to find your own style. TWILIGHT don´t, too. But they hide a few perls on „Born undivine“.
This third Cd of the five Spanish people has also got a good track with a groovy doublebass: “Insanity”.
An intro: „Dawn of the victors“.
A killer: „Forgotten heroes“.
An instrumental: „Legend“.
A mid-tempo song: „When misery leaves“.
A more different song, namely thrash, partly with clean, but aggressive vocals: „Firegods“.
Really, very remarkably: The variable vocals!!
Solid music, based on metallic roots, with folkloristic influences and simple solos that brings it to the point. 10 compositions that create an exquisite album!
TWILIGHT fit – although they are from Spain – very well in the German power metal scene.
Although we have a selfproduced Cd here, the guys will surely have a label contract soon!
