WAVERLY LIES NORTH is a French band born from the collaboration of twin brothers Edouard and Julien Mehay. These passionate musicians are influenced by symphonic metal, trash and heavy metal, as well as classical and film music.
The Waverly project is the result of the hours they have spent composing the tracks of "A Soul in the Void" ; this work in their own recording studio first led to a demo version signed under the Brennus Music Label in 2013.
They also started a collaboration with the author Mat Wongraven to meet the requirements of their concept.
After a few concerts, the album was finally released in 2014, with the addition of the song "Aria Nocturna".
Meanwhile, the sound and the line-up of the band had evolved to include the singer Eric Pariche (also singer in Superscream and former member of Darjeeling), Jérôme Pecquery as bass player and Antoine Petit-Gas as lead guitar.
The soprano Audrey Escots is now taking part into the band's concept ...
Beyond the music, WAVERLY LIES NORTH is developing a whole visual realm, finding their favorite inspiration in supernatural and haunting phenomenons.
Their last music video has been posted on Metal Monks for 1 month and got tones of views:
