I will try again to reach my musical imagination to best convey my feelings this time about the band RON COOLEN and the album “Rise”. In the times we live, where the whole world fighs with the COVID-19, a music plays a fairly important role. Locked in our homes, we reach for the gifts of fate, which are the music of our favorite bands to feel freedom, peace and to rise above it that overwhelms us and limits us, and at the same time to open ourselves for others and to see what we can really lose.

Keeping the album “Rise” in my hands and looking at its cover-art, and having awareness of what the whole world is going through now, it seems as if the cover-art announces the arrival of something new. Still, I feel devastated but I also see life. A life that lasts for man, who can always rise, get up and create own history, works that you want to remember, love and admire. To live for each sphere of own life for others, to give so much to not die and to remain in the memory of others. So it is with a music, we leave but a music still continues and it is passed down from generation to generation. And so it is with the band RON COOLEN and his album “Rise”. In addition his music has a noble goal from the sale of the CDs. And beside he invited great artists such as: George Lynch, Keith St. John, Christopher Amott, Göran Edman, Stéphan Forté, Joey Concepcion, Thorsten Koehne, Chris Clancy, Johannes Persson, Daniël Verberk, Steve Lamb and Sam Walters to create an exquisite work together. And as I was able to find out, the album “Rise” has already gained appreciation on the lists of music magazines next to new releases as Ozzy Osbourne or Five Finger.

The music is unique, well-thought-out and will be great nowadays. During of the listening to the 12-songs’s album, we will hear various musical compositions, delicate sounds interspersed with energetic guitars, solos, neoclassical virtuosity and varied vocals from the singing to screaming, growling. And all this causes the phenomenon of this music that can shake man and move his sensitivity. This album is a collaboration of many great musicians under the direction of Ron, who, as befits a multi-instrumentalist who love in a music that he played the rhythm guitars, the bass, the keyboards and the drums.

And in some meaning the apocalyptic cover emphasizes the announcement of something special in this album.

And so it is, because a listener will find here music in the best Hard Rock style, richly varied with Progressive and Heavy Metal arrangements enriched with Thrash Metal. But that’s not all, moments of Modern Metal with the elements of Death and Black Metal, classic Rock riffs with a contemporary approach to Metal music are the proof that the music is constantly evolving. Well, you rise up, find out and listen to the musical message of “Rise” because today yet you can, tomorrow is unknown…
