ABHORDIUM was founded in 2005 in Salo, a small city in the deep of south of Finland, close to the Baltic coast. Before this disc, the Finns first released several web demos, then one EP and one full time album.

“Omega Prayer” attracts attention with an interesting graphic design. On the cover-art was made a drawing in brown and black tone (with a taste), depicting the magical rite of summoning Demon. The booklet also contains cool graphics, including stylized figures of members.

The music on the disc is a combination of very aggressive and dark Technical Death and Black Metal. The instrumentalists are specialists. The guitars are full of brutality, but such brutality has variable rhythms, melodies and mood – the hate is major mood. The vocals are usually in Black Metal style, but are varied. There also is gobble in Death Metal style as well as the pure singing, whispering, and the choirs in the background. The drummer plays with the force, dynamics, passion, he gives ever its feels, cooperating with incredibly fast automatic drums.

The songs are composed very well. They are dominated by aggression often going into extremism. But a lot is happening there. The many tracks have mysterious intros and cutscenes, slower fragments. In addition among the radical Black Death Metal there we’ll find sublime fragments on the CD, as well as interesting melodies played by the guitar (almost Folk ones). The music is variable, has no monotony, it takes your attention.

Thanks to good, legible production, all elements are perfectly heard. And the black atmosphere is not lost at the same time. This is the release for enthusiasts of brutalism with high intensity. It made me great enjoy.
