DIVINITY posts new lyric video “Hallowed Earth” & stream new album “Immortalist”

Calgary, AB progressive death metal band DIVINITY have posted a new lyric video for their track “Hallowed Earth”, which features their second vocalist Jeff “Beast’ Waite’ and is off their new album “The Immortalist” that was unleashed on May 26th.

The band comments on track:

“It’s a poetic take on the idea that some civilization could possibly exist underground with far superior technology and history. Other dimensions may exist inside the earth. Hallowed is a way to infer that we should revere our planet instead of destroying it. Also the hidden race in the Earth is pissed at us and knows that humans really don’t care about the planet or each other.”

“The Immortalist” is a culmination of 5 years of hard work and dedication to DIVINITY’s craft.  The album features 12 tracks that include their two previous EP releases “The Immortalist, Pt. 1 – Awestruck” and “The Immortalist, Pt. 2 –Momentum” with their 3rd EP “The Immortalist Pt. 3 – Conqueror” now completed to finish off the trilogy series as one huge full length album. All the tracks on the album are re-mixed and re-mastered by the talented Chris Donaldson (Cryptopsy, The Grid Productions) to make the songs more cohesive and work as a full-length experience. This album also features Bjorn ‘Speed’ Strid of Soilwork on vocals for the song ‘D.M.T.’.
