THREAT SIGNAL introduce new live bassist – Christian Olde Wolbers (ex-FEAR FACTORY)

On top of that, the upcoming tour will officially introduce Christian Olde Wolbers (ex-Fear Factory) as THREAT SIGNAL’s new live bassist. Christian will be taking the place of Pat Kavanagh – the band’s long-standing member and co-author of “Disconnect” – only at shows, as Pat will continue his work with the band off stage.

THREAT SIGNAL commented: “We would like to officially welcome Christian Olde Wolbers (ex Fear Factory) into Threat Signal as our new bass player! Christian has been involved with us since the very beginning, having produced and recorded our debut album Under Reprisal. He recently preformed live with us during a short string of local dates, and we had a blast!”

THREAT SIGNAL’s highly anticipated new album, “Disconnect”, will be the first one for Agonia Records, after the band left Nuclear Blast’s roster earlier this year. It’s final release date and details will be revealed over the coming weeks.

Since their critically acclaimed debut offering “Under Reprisal” (2006), which won the Canadian Recording Of The Year Award at the Hamilton Music Awards, THREAT SIGNAL became internationally recognised as one of the best modern acts in thrash metal. Their latest two installments, the intense “Vigilance” (2009) and reinvented “Threat Signal” (2011), have both met with unrelenting hype, with each entering the Billboard’s Top Heatseekers Chart, at #32 and #26.

THREAT SIGNAL came to life in 2003 and immediately began generating growing interest within the metal community. Their debut song “Rational Eyes” hit #1 on the international music website GarageBand.com and maintained that position for over two years. As a result, the young band signed to Nuclear Blast and started intensive touring, having performed with act’s such as Children Of Bodom, Soilwork, Motorhead, Saxon, Opeth, Kataklysm, Hatebreed, Epica and Arch Enemy.

THREAT SIGNAL combines the complexity of thrash metal, with a more contemporary groove sound involving technical rhythms, and melodic musical passages. The band is led by frontman Jon Howard (vocals), together with Travis Montgomery (guitars), Pat Kavanagh (bass) and Matt Perrin (guitars). Christian Olde Wolbers (ex-Fear Factory) is the band’s live bassist.
