Once again, the Danish music underground reveals the artists from the band under the name CELESTIAL SON. The musical career of the team began back in 2003 under the name DRONE and at that time they released first EP. But now, under the new name, as CELESTIAL SON they offer us the next musical material – “Saturn’s Return.”

The album released in digipack with booklet with lyrics and disk with burned out thirteen compositions proposed by the band. The musicians in during of creating are inspired by such bands as ALICE IN CHAINS, NIRVANA, TOOL or KING CRIMSON. But let’s get to the point, that is to my reception of the album. Practically from the very beginning they brought associations most with NIRVANA and with style of Grunge. Even the vocals, is closest to the singing of Kurt Cobain. There is also an alternative progression, which can be associated with the work of the band TOOL, and some moments is very similar to the album “Lateralus”.

Whole is stuffed by good playing of guitars with the melodious but and with the grim compositions of sounds. Between the guitar parties of Rock music appear the keyboards arrangements. The keys do not play any major role but they are a interesting kind of diversion of the works.

It seems to me that the most important elements I was able to describe and summarize already a whole. This is typical playing in Grunge style of NIRVANA. The songs coherent and similar. The whole is maintained and executed in good taste, without departing from prearranged style of music.

If you like guitar struggles and vocals in Cobain style then you can boldly reach for CELESTIAL SON. It’s OK for me.
