SAINT REBEL, another Danish band that I have the opportunity to listen and describe it. The team from the Copenhagen presents us with the second album released in 2014 under the same title as the name of the band. It is interesting that the first album released in 2012 was nominated for the prestigious Danish “Gaffa Awards” in the category of best Hard Rock Danish release…
SAINT REBEL is created by five musicians with Hard Rock souls, and so they are playing… Hard Rock with elements of Metal and Stoner Rock and even modern Hardcore… Traditionally I’m mentioning that the album is released in digipack with the booklet with lyrics of the twelve tracks…
The Danish band is well prepared technically, rhythmically and they have a great feeling of the proposed music. I must admit that it is a heavy, dynamic, energetic and yet melodic playing, in which there is no lack of elements of ballads with melancholy in the background. The considerable bass gives greater depth and darkness to the whole and even it sometimes makes the climate like in psychedelic songs.
The band possesses precision and interesting musical arrangements.The everything is going on here as it should be. The band is well-knit and even if here are surprising paces like in “cardiac arrhythmia”… Slowly and quietly… and suddenly quickly… and after a while more harder, keeping a tension. The vocalist is interesting… simultaneously hoarse and melodic… sometimes is quiet and also he can passing to screams, anger and even to tone of aggressiveness. In a one word, interesting…
Well I recommend to all who like heavy playing but first of all because it certainly will not be boring…
