AEONBLACK come into being in 2003 from the rubble of GROGGY ELKS. Thus, the band’s roots date back to 1988, because I think all the musicians played in a GROGGY ELKS outside the bassist, so basically it was just a change of the name of the band. And I suspect the music was not changed… Heavy Metal was accompanied by a team from the very beginning and as the musicians say, they play “pure fucking Heavy Metal and nothing else…”.

It is impossible to disagree with what they say, because their compositions are such as a high-minded Metal… thoroughbred … from true blood… The arrangements are fierce, raw and dynamic, with a specific melody and rhythms… with backing vocals. From the beginning the music reminded me of legends such as JUDAS PRIEST and RUNNING WILD… The predatory guitars, the sharp and poignant solos, ??the decided vocals and the strong hits of drums… The sound of the vocal oscillates between the predatory falsetto to the slightly hoarse singing. I admit the singer really is great. He superbly juggles his vocals.

Heavy Metal, even the purest, it can generate themes of ballads and AEONBLACK also took this opportunity and they created the calmer accents of Metal ballads between the dynamic beats. And therefore outside of the rapacity and fast phrases we will also hear the calmer and more melodic fragments, slightly melancholy.

Heavy Metal also has features of the fast paces, the very specific paces, which I often compare to the horse’s gallop. And in this case, most of the tracks are kept precisely in such the rhythms.

AEONBLACK clearly cultivates the old traditional school of Heavy Metal and the musicians are undeniably inspired by the spirit of the old Heavy Metal.
