EVRA sign with Prime, release new single

The Danish underground has rumbled with praise for a while now, each time Copenhageners EVRA have played one of their incendiary live shows.

Enough so that the band was given a spot at the premiere metal festival Copenhell in 2014, before even having an album out. Expectations for them have thus been growing steadily, and Prime now proudly announce our collaboration with the band, surrounding the release of the long-awaited debut album “Lightbearer”.

The album will be released on a soon to be revealed date in August this year. Ahead of its release, however, you can already hear the title track and first single, as the music video debuts today on YouTube via Spaceuntravel. The song perfectly showcases how the band mixes old-school, riff-centric heavy rock, with directness and a furious vocal delivery that borrows its ragged screams from modern chaotic hardcore bands.

?One of Prime Collective’s primary goals is to penetrate the barriers that keep old-school and modern rock and metal fans apart, so we’re excited because we think that’s exactly what EVRA have a chance to do with their new album. They give you a pretty unique blend of traditional riffage and contemporary hardcore rage, and the songs are a lot catchier than you think.?
– Prime Collective’s Tim Larsen

The music video to “Lightbearer” is available internationally right now on YouTube, and the song will be finding its way to the major streaming services over the course of the week. More details about the upcoming release of the album will be revealed soon.
