About TOMB OF FINLAND

TOMB OF FINLAND is one of the darkest, coldest and most evil bands we’ve heard in years from Scandinavia. The band features ex-members of Finnish bands like Charon, …And Oceans, and Wolfheart.

Tomb Of Finland got the first shovel full of soil into its mouth in the fall of 2009. The New album Below The Green is the perfect mix of the early 90s doom, black and death metal, with a modern twist!

The dark story of Tomb Of Finland starts when Jasse got in contact with old friend A. Karihtala (CHARON, WOLFHEART, KYPCK) for the drums and Ville (SEITH, DAWN OF RELIC, CRYPTID) for the destructive and low growls that were going to define the bands sound. Both joined in and the first three coffins were now full and ready to rot.

In winter 2012 the first demo-song Death of the sun was released and got great attention in various metal-magazines and sites. Shortly after, the band started seeking more rotten flesh to be gathered together as a full band and then Mikko Hannuksela (CARTILAGE, VOMITURITION, ENOCHIAN CRESCENT, GHOSTGUARD) joined in on guitar and -H- joined in on bass. Shortly after, Ville was replaced on vocals by Olli Suvanto and Janne Manninen (AND OCEANS, MYGRAIN, MAGENTA HARVEST) replaced A. Karihtala on the drums.

In the fall of 2014 the upcoming debut album “Below The Green” was recorded and mastered in Unisound studios by Dan Swan? and the first single Damnation from the album was released with a video on Youtube.

“Below The Green” will be released worldwide on vinyl, CD, digital and stream via Mighty Music August 21st. 2015.
