The musical inspirations were created by Mrs. Miriam initiations, which then formed the band – WINTERGARDEN. The founders of the band is the marriage – Miriam Gardner as the initiator and husband Blake Gardner. The beginning of the band dates back to 2011. The album consists of 12 tracks, with the cover-art containing the spatial-theatrical motive (with the figure of the singer). Speaking of the music, this marriage has significant tasks in the art. Mrs. Miriam Gardner – vocals, Mr. Blake Gardner – guitar, bass and programming. Apart from them, the band complement Darren Davis – guitar, Stephen Windlow – bass and Ronnel Guyst – drums.

I wondered how to define their music, style, etc. I’ll try to go in the direction of Modern Gothic Metal and stay at the definition. They present modern playing based not only on the classic rock instruments but also based on the electronics and programming, which played a significant role, which certainly gave the interesting aspect to the songs. The vocal interesting, sometimes is distorted with a distinctive strong, deep color, melodious. You can say that vocal sometimes is in the style of THE GATHERING, SKUNK ANASIE. Instrumentally everything is perfectly well-knit, and it has the more influence the quality of the music, which in effect is better to listen. The music is melodic, soft, combined with the aforementioned vocal creates a friendly atmosphere. The stronger sounds and the screaming vocal bring the differentiations from time to time.

The album “The New Victoriam” is a creature that is easily catchy and pleasant to listen. Perhaps the reason is the insertions of Pop. WINTERGARDEN did not surprise me, but I heard the album with pleasure. What can I write in support? I think that the songs are too close to each other, similar, that becomes more monotonous from moment to moment. The band has the capabilities vocal and instrumental, and I hope that if I had the chance to hear their next album then there will be more differentiations.

I would like to hear them in the darker version. I am waiting for the next album. And I recommend the album for people who want to listen the music to relax. I think “The New Victoriam” is good idea to relax with good music.
